Who We Are

We believe that agriculture today is a vital key to economic progress. We also believe that the farmer and his Cooperative are business partners that contribute significantly to the well being of all Americans. We believe our focus at Harvest Land Co-op is to supply the people, products, facilities, services, and assistance necessary to keep the farmer at the leading edge of his profession.

Our Vision

To be a leading farmer owned company that values its customers and employees while growing an influential and financially solid organization.

Our Mission

A farmer owned cooperative that serves customers in our market area. Our purpose is to provide products, operational services, technologies and marketing assistance to our customers to enhance their lives and profitability, while generating an adequate return on our members’ equity.

Harvest Land Co-op offers a broad range of agricultural inputs and custom services to support the varied farming operations in our market area. The major product lines that we provide are petroleum/LP, feed, fertilizer, crop protection, and seed. In addition, we offer related services that include custom application, grain marketing, consultation and precision ag technologies. Harvest Land Co-op operates crop outlets, bulk petroleum plants, feed mills, a country store, and grain facilities that purchase and store grain produced by local farmers.
We also offer home heat – fuel oil and propane – that heat homes, businesses and schools, alike, in our area.

Originally organized in the late 1920’s as a resource for seed potatoes, we continue to specialize in providing farmers with the products and services they need to farm effectively and profitably. We are proud of our long-standing history in the middle of the heartland. Cultivating our communities for success is just part of what we do!

Today, Harvest Land is owned and controlled by approximately 5,400 members who are local farmers that produce or market farm products.

Board of Directors

Harvest Land farmer-members elect a board of directors that establishes policy and direction for our cooperative. These nine directors, representing three districts, are your community neighbors.

Giving Back

Harvest Land Co-op has partnered with Wounded Warriors In Action for the Delivering Honor program, where Harvest Land donates three cents per gallon of propane sold to Wounded Warriors In Action, which will in turn host outdoor activities for local wounded veterans.

Wounded Warriors in Action

Wounded Warriors In Action (WWIA) is a non-profit organization, dedicated to serving our nation’s Purple Heart recipients by providing world-class outdoor sporting activities. Though headquartered out of Apollo Beach, Florida, WWIA serves the entire United States. The goals of WWIA are to increase self-reliance, bolster self-confidence, enjoy the great outdoors, promote spiritual healing and wellness and also instill a sense of belonging in America’s combat wounded.

We understand that we can never fully repay the men and women who have bravely served our country, but we’d like to honor them by partnering with Wounded Warriors In Action this winter season. We strongly believe in programs such as this one, which promotes self-confidence and recovery for those coming home after serving our country. With every propane fill up, we’re proud to “Deliver Honor” to our wounded American veterans. To date, we’ve donated $25,000 to WWIA through Delivering Honor.

Cultivating Communities Program

At the beginning of each fiscal year (September 1 – August 31), we encourage our employees to volunteer 8 hours of community service to a cause that is important to them for our Cultivating Communities program. Once eight hours is racked up (time seems to fly when you’re helping others) Harvest Land then donates $75 to the non-profit which the employee volunteered their time.
