Job Summary: Operates commercial sprayer or floater for the purpose of applying crop inputs to producer's fields. In addition, provides operation management primarily at the Oakville plant and operates and maintains single axle, tandem axle, or semi- trucks and other equipment. Performs all job functions in a timely and accurate manner to increase customer satisfaction and maintain the reputation and profitability of the organization.
Starting Salary Range: $35,000-$50,000 per year depending upon experience.
Job Classification: Full time with benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance, as well as 401K.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
·        Supports Harvest Land Co-op’s stated Vision, Mission, and business values.
·        Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.
·        Implements, promotes and supports the Yield Pro agronomy program.
·        Assists with in-house sales at Oakville.
·        Assists East Crops Manager with application scheduling for all branches of the Ag Center.
·        Orders and manages parts inventory to appropriate levels.
·        Assists with assignments of duties.
·        Develops an atmosphere of teamwork among the staff.
·        Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
·        Analyses and resolves work problems and assist workers in solving problems.
·        Precisely blends and applies fertilizers and agricultural crop protection products according to recommended rates, procedures, and following all pesticide labels.
·        Performs jobs safely and in compliance with environmental regulations.
·        Maintains facility and equipment so that they have a good appearance and are always in working order.
·        Performs mechanic work on selected vehicles.
·        Completes applicator logs and reports.
·        Keeps the Ag Center Manager informed of operational, customer, vendors, or employee issues that may arise, including product inventory levels that could restrict application or delivery schedules.
·        Keeps facility, equipment, and application records as required.
·        Loads and unloads inbound and outbound inventory.
·        Assists in keeping all inside and outside work areas extremely neat and orderly.
·        Continuously follows the safety guidelines and programs established by Harvest Land Co-op.
·        Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.
·        Be courteous and have good people skills.
·        Be able to communicate and solve differences of opinion with the customers.
·        Maintain records for work repairs the truck has had.
·        Drive in a safe manner.
·        Be able to obtain and maintain a CDL license with all necessary endorsements.
·        Performs additional tasks as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for the supervision of operations staff at the Oakville Ag facility and aids in the coordination of servicing customers.

Education and/or Experience:Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED. One to three years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience are preferred.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations & Requirements:A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements (or the ability to obtain one) and an applicator’s license that meets the minimum compliance requirements of the regulatory state in which the applicator operates is preferred. Candidates will need a good driving record, clear criminal background check and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Other Skills and Abilities: The ability to utilize and operate variable rate technology and GPS guidance systems.
